LJ Care Fund
The LJ Care Fund Incorporated was established @ljbaptist in 2005 to assist and relief of burden for the sick, the needy, the disabled, the homeless, and the elderly in a rapid paced, often unequal lifestyle. Originally assisting resettlement of African refugee immigrants, LJ Care now focuses on benevolence services to those in our communities who are disadvantaged by life circumstances.

LJ Care Fund Inc. is public benevolent entity and a deductible gift recipient for income taxation purposes.

The main activity of LJ Care is the relief of poverty through food services and supply at Christmas time. In addition, there is a fledgling service aimed at alleviating financial hardship by offering small financial payments for food and household utilities costs.

Operation Christmas Child
Samaritan’s Purse has changed the lives of children through Operation Christmas Child since 1993. Every year, generous people across the world lovingly pack shoe boxes with gifts – simple, yet powerful messages of God’s unconditional love. And when a child opens a shoe box, they’re opening more than a present lovingly prepared just for them. They’re opening up their community to a world of life-changing opportunities.

An internationally recognised schoolies and universities support network, which has been operating for over 12 years. Since the introduction into schoolies on the Gold Coast in 1997, the Red Frog Crew have given out tonnes of Allen’s Frogs Alive Red Frogs every year as an ice-breaker at 17 schoolies and leavers festivals all around Australia, as well as at university O-week celebrations and events.

The Red Frog Crew is most well-known for its service at schoolies and leavers festivals, where over 1200 volunteers aim to support school-leavers through their week-long celebrations, providing a positive presence within their party culture. The Red Frog Crew assist school-leavers by walking young people home, cooking pancakes, cleaning rooms, handing out Allen’s Red Frogs and most importantly, offering counseling and emotional support through what can often be a challenging week. @ljbaptist we support the brilliant work that Red Frogs continues to do in Australia and internationally. Each year, a good number of our Young Adults volunteer to be part of the Red Frog Crew, please support us in this valuable and practical ministry through our Giving page.
